The Hotel Carter is a historic Manhattan lodging place located a half block west of Times Square.〔 The facility was financed by a $2,200,000 loan to Harris and Percy Uris by the New York State Title and Mortgage Company in May 1929.〔''2,200,000 Loan to Finance Hotel Dixie, Near Times Square'', New York Times, May 2, 1929, pg. 53.〕 It was chartered for $10,000 by M.C.
